SFAA Wins Gold for “Best Advocacy Campaign” in Association TRENDS’ 2022 TRENDY Awards

March 22, 2022 (WASHINGTON, DC) The Surety & Fidelity Association of America (SFAA), a nonprofit, nonpartisan trade association representing all segments of the surety and fidelity industry, has been honored with a gold award for “Best Advocacy Campaign” during the Association TRENDS’ 2022 TRENDY Awards. SFAA’s multi-layer advocacy campaign helped secure a landmark victory — the passing of a federal law requiring bonding and payment protections on all federally-financed infrastructure projects receiving loans and grants under the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA), including public-private projects (P3s).

“We are proud to be recognized by Association TRENDS for Best Advocacy Campaign,” said Lee Covington, president and CEO, SFAA. “Our TIFIA-bonding advocacy campaign was executed exceptionally well and culminated in our legislation being included as part of the historic, bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.”

The TRENDY Awards is an annual competition held exclusively for associations, recognizing the best marketing, communications and advocacy campaigns developed in the industry over the prior year. The 2022 competition included over 300 entries in 26 categories. Visit Association TRENDS to learn more.
